We enable Indian apparel manufacturers to access global demand consistently, transparently, and profitably — without increasing their sales, marketing, or working-capital burden. Backed by a passionate founding team and growing rapidly, we’re looking for high-energy people who want to be part of something big from the ground up. About the Role We’re looking for a sharp, people-first Assistant Manager — HR who can own the hiring and onboarding engine at factori.com. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the first HR touchpoint for every new team member joining us — from writing compelling job posts to making sure Day 1 feels like a celebration, not paperwork. Beyond recruitment, you’ll be deeply involved in the full spectrum of HR operations — employee engagement, policy administration, compliance, performance support, and culture building. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and love building systems that scale, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Hiring (Primary)
- Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle — from requirement gathering, job posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, to offer rollout and closure.
- Partner with hiring managers across departments to understand role requirements, define candidate profiles, and set realistic hiring timelines.
- Build and manage a healthy talent pipeline using job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed), employee referrals, campus drives, walk-ins, and social media outreach.
- Conduct initial HR screening calls, assess cultural fit, communication skills, and salary alignment before shortlisting candidates for functional rounds.
- Manage offer negotiations, background verification, and pre-joining documentation to ensure seamless conversions from offer to onboarding.
- Track and report hiring metrics — time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer-to-join ratio, and cost-per-hire — to continuously improve the process. Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Design and execute a structured onboarding programme that gets new hires productive, connected, and excited from Day 1.
- Coordinate induction sessions covering company overview, department introductions, policies, tools, and culture orientation.
- Ensure all joining formalities are completed — offer letters, appointment letters, NDA, ID creation, system access, and asset allocation.
- Conduct regular check-ins during the probation period (30-60-90 day reviews) to ensure smooth settling-in and early issue resolution.
- Collect new joiner feedback to continuously refine the onboarding experience. General HR Operations
- Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support payroll processing by providing timely inputs on attendance, leaves, new joiners, exits, and salary revisions.
- Administer HR policies related to attendance, leave management, code of conduct, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities — team events, celebrations, recognition programmes, and wellness initiatives.
- Support performance management cycles — goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and PIP administration.
- Assist with statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity) and ensure timely filings and documentation.
- Handle employee separation processes — exit interviews, full & final settlement coordination, experience letters, and offboarding checklists.
- Contribute to building and documenting HR SOPs, policies, and handbooks as the company scales. Who You Are Must-Have Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in HR, with demonstrated expertise in recruitment and onboarding.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end hiring processes, sourcing strategies, and interview techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Kannada proficiency is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRMS/ATS tools.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliances (PF, ESI, PT), and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. What Will Make You Stand Out
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment where you’ve built processes from scratch.
- Exposure to employer branding — writing job posts that attract top talent, managing careers pages, and social media hiring campaigns.
- Experience with bulk hiring and blue-collar recruitment in manufacturing or logistics sectors.
- A natural knack for making people feel welcome, heard, and valued — the kind of person who makes Day 1 memorable.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track HR metrics and translate them into actionable improvements. Why Join factori.com?
