These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and BetterCV Ltd. ("BetterCV", "we", "our", "us"), governing your access to and use of bettercv.com and our services.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using BetterCV's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use BetterCV. By using our services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Subscriptions & billing
BetterCV offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by law.
4. Intellectual property
You retain full ownership of the resume content you create. BetterCV retains all rights in its platform, templates, AI models and other proprietary technology. You grant BetterCV a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service.
5. Prohibited conduct
You may not use BetterCV to create fraudulent documents, impersonate others, scrape or crawl our services, or attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models. Violation may result in immediate account termination.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
BetterCV is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that using our service will result in job interviews or offers. AI-generated content should be reviewed and personalised by the user before submission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetterCV's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
