Job description
Position: Project Installation Manager – Electrical Systems Experience: 5+ Years Location: Pune Department: Projects & Operations Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Project Installation Manager to lead the execution of Electrical, and Smart Building projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and successfully delivering multiple installation projects while ensuring quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and timely completion. The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing site teams, electrical contractors, network technicians, vendors, and customers in residential, commercial, or smart building projects. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
- Manage end-to-end project execution from site survey to final handover.
- Review project scope, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Develop project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously across different locations. Site Installation Management
- Supervise installation of:
- Electrical Systems
- Structured Cabling
- Wi-Fi Infrastructure
- Smart Locks and Security Devices
- Ensure adherence to installation standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits. Team Management
- Lead and supervise electricians, network engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Allocate manpower and resources across projects.
- Monitor workforce productivity and performance.
- Conduct technical training and installation reviews. Customer & Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication.
- Coordinate with customers, builders, consultants, architects, and society management teams.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Resolve site issues, escalations, and technical challenges. Technical Oversight
- Review electrical layouts, SLDs, network diagrams, and installation drawings.
- Ensure proper implementation of:
- Electrical Distribution Systems
- Structured Cabling Standards
- Coordinate with engineering teams for technical clarifications. Material & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and equipment at sites.
- Monitor material consumption and prevent wastage.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for project requirements. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all systems are functioning as per project requirements.
- Conduct customer demonstrations and training sessions.
- Complete project documentation and obtain handover approvals. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare project progress reports.
- Maintain installation checklists and commissioning records.
- Track project costs, timelines, and resource utilization.
- Report project risks and mitigation plans to management. Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, Electrical Installations.
- Strong understanding of:
- Electrical Systems
- Structured Cabling
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and network drawings.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project Management Tools, and Reporting Systems. Preferred Experience
