Senior Financial Analyst

Job Title:Data Governance Senior Financial Analyst Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Type: Full Time Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Specialist – Finance Domain to lead and strengthen enterprise data governance practices. This role will act as a subject matter expert for financial master data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across systems and business processes. Key Responsibilities: Data Governance & Frameworks

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks within the finance domain
• Establish policies, standards, and metrics to ensure high-quality and reliable master data
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements to strengthen governance practices Master Data Management
• Define and maintain global standards for financial master data, including accounts, entities, and business relationships
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data ownership and maintenance
• Ensure consistency and integrity of master data across systems and applications Process & Workflow Management
• Manage intake, documentation, and execution of master data changes including mappings and hierarchies
• Oversee governance forums and ensure timely implementation of updates across platforms
• Recommend and implement controls to improve process efficiency and data quality Tools, Systems & Integration
• Support and enhance data governance tools and workflows, ensuring robust controls and seamless handoffs
• Contribute to system testing, enhancements, and automation initiatives
• Collaborate on data integration and ecosystem alignment efforts Data Quality & Compliance
• Define and monitor data quality rules, identify defects, and drive resolution processes
• Ensure adherence to governance standards and promote adoption across teams
• Maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, process flows, and standard procedures Stakeholder Engagement & Training
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive governance adoption and alignment
• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for data users and stakeholders
• Support finance-related data initiatives and respond to ad-hoc queries What We’re Looking For:
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and master data management
• Experience in finance data domains such as accounts, entities, and hierarchies
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy and process improvement
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities Qualifications: Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience in finance, data governance, or master data management
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and reporting platforms
• Strong familiarity with collaboration and workflow tools Preferred:
• Knowledge of enterprise systems and workflow tools
• Exposure to data analytics, automation tools, or scripting languages
• Familiarity with data cataloging, data dictionaries, or governance platforms
• Interest or exposure to AI/ML concepts
