Job Description - Infrastructure Support Engineer (AWS/Azure) Experience: 6 - 10 Years About The Role We are looking for highly skilled Infrastructure Support Engineers with strong hands-on experience in AWS and/or Azure infrastructure operations and support. The ideal candidate should have expertise in handling cloud infrastructure incidents, troubleshooting production issues, managing cloud resources, and supporting enterprise-scale environments. This is strictly an Infrastructure Support role. Candidates with purely DevOps-focused profiles should not be considered; however, practical exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD environments is desirable. Excellent communication skills and strong experience in ITSM/ITIL processes are mandatory. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and operational issues.
- Handle cloud-related tickets, escalations, and service requests within SLA timelines.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
- Support production environments with high availability and reliability. Required Technical Skills
- AWS / Azure Administration Strong Hands-on Experience In
- AWS services such as EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, Route53, EKS, AMI management, and Security Groups.
- Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure AD, VNets, Storage Accounts, NSGs, Monitoring, Load Balancers, and AKS.
- Infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Security, access management, and cloud governance.
- CI/CD Support & Troubleshooting Hands-on Experience Troubleshooting CI/CD Pipeline And Deployment-related Issues, Including
- Build failures
- IAM permission issues
- CodeDeploy deployment failures
- Artifact not found errors
- Environment variable configuration issues
- Docker build/push failures
- Timeout and source stage failures
- Infrastructure provisioning failures
- Deployment health check failures Exposure to tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms is preferred.
- User & Access Management Strong Experience In
- IAM roles and permissions management
- Policy creation and troubleshooting
- Cross-account access configuration
- MFA enforcement
- Credential rotation and security compliance
- Resolving conflicting policies and access-related issues
- Managing IAM limits and role assignments
- Patching & Maintenance Hands-on Experience In
- OS patching and package updates on cloud-hosted servers
- Updating installed software and enterprise applications
- Managing web server upgrades (Apache, Nginx)
- Database patching and maintenance (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Middleware and application updates
- Security patch management and vulnerability remediation
- Infrastructure Upgrades Experience In Planning And Executing
- OS upgrades (Windows/Linux)
- Application upgrades (e.g., Java 8 to Java 17)
- Database upgrades (e.g., MySQL 5.7 to 8)
- Storage upgrades (EBS/S3/Azure Storage)
- Kubernetes/EKS/AKS version upgrades
- AMI upgrades
- Auto Scaling enhancements
- Load Balancer migrations/upgrades
- Security protocol upgrades (TLS 1.1 to TLS 1.2/1.3)
- ITSM / ITIL Process Management Strong working knowledge of ITSM and ITIL best practices, including:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Release Management
- SLA adherence and operational governance
- Ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA, etc. Required Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure Support.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS and/or Azure operations support.
- Good understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in production support environments with rotational shifts if required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Skills
- Exposure to scripting using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices and automation tools.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes support environments.
- Relevant AWS or Azure certifications are an added advantage. Important Note
- This role is focused on Infrastructure Support and Cloud Operations.
- Profiles with only DevOps/Automation experience without core infrastructure support exposure will not be considered.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities and real-time production support experience.
