Content Marketing Manager (SEO, AEO & Content Strategy) Location: Mumbai Experience: 3–5 Years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for a strategic and execution-focused Content Marketing Manager who can build high-performing content ecosystems that drive organic growth, improve search visibility, and strengthen brand authority. This role goes beyond traditional content marketing. The ideal candidate understands how content is discovered across both Search Engines (SEO) and AI-powered Answer Engines (AEO), ensuring brands are visible in Google Search, AI Overviews, featured snippets, voice search, and generative AI platforms. You will work closely with clients, strategists, designers, and writers to develop content strategies that balance creativity with measurable business outcomes. Reporting To: Senior Content Marketing Manager Secondary Reporting: Head of Content & SEO Key Responsibilities 1. Content Strategy & Search Optimization

  • Develop and execute integrated content strategies aligned with business objectives and customer intent.
  • Build scalable content frameworks optimized for SEO, AEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and semantic search.
  • Identify keyword opportunities using search intent, competitor analysis, and content gap research.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, and annual content calendars across multiple brands.
  • Optimize content for:
  • Google Search
  • AI Overviews
  • Featured Snippets
  • Voice Search
  • Knowledge Panels
  • AI-powered search experiences
  • Monitor organic performance and continuously refine strategies using data-driven insights. 2. Content Planning & Editorial Management
  • Lead planning and execution of blogs, landing pages, pillar pages, website content, thought leadership articles, and long-form assets.
  • Create content briefs with SEO recommendations and clear content objectives.
  • Ensure every content asset aligns with brand tone, user intent, and search best practices.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and coordinate cross-functional production timelines. 3. Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Understand client objectives and translate business goals into effective content strategies.
  • Present content roadmaps, SEO recommendations, and performance reports to clients.
  • Communicate technical SEO and AI search concepts in a simple, actionable manner.
  • Build trusted client relationships through proactive strategic recommendations. 4. Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor content writers and strategists on:
  • SEO best practices
  • Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
  • E-E-A-T principles
  • Content quality standards
  • AI-assisted content workflows
  • Review content for quality, accuracy, readability, and optimization.
  • Encourage innovation while maintaining editorial consistency. 5. Content Quality & Governance
  • Establish editorial standards across all content deliverables.
  • Conduct regular content audits to improve rankings and maintain relevance.
  • Ensure content is:
  • Factually accurate
  • Grammatically correct
  • Brand compliant
  • Search optimized
  • Machine-readable for AI systems
  • Improve existing content through optimization and content refresh initiatives. 6. Performance Analytics & Reporting
  • Track KPIs including:
  • Organic traffic
  • Keyword rankings
  • Featured snippets
  • AI visibility
  • Engagement metrics
  • Conversion performance
  • Generate actionable insights using analytics platforms.
  • Recommend optimization strategies based on performance data. 7. Innovation & Industry Trends
  • Stay updated on:
  • Google's algorithm updates
  • AI search developments
  • Generative AI trends
  • SEO best practices
  • Content marketing innovations
  • Experiment with new content formats and AI-enabled workflows to improve performance. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Content Marketing, SEO, or Digital Marketing.
  • Agency experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of:
