Job description
C# SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) designs and builds scalable automation frameworks, writes robust test code using C#/.NET, and integrates testing into CI/CD pipelines. They act as a bridge between development and QA, focusing heavily on testability, API/UI automation, and performance testing. Key Responsibilities
- Automation Framework Design: Build, maintain, and scale end-to-end test automation frameworks from scratch using C#, .NET Core, and tools like Playwright or Selenium.
- API Testing: Create automated test suites for RESTful/SOAP APIs to validate backend services, data payloads, and integrations.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated testing into DevOps pipelines using platforms like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to ensure continuous testing.
- Collaboration: Partner with Software Development Engineers to review code, understand architectural designs, and bake "testability" into the product early in the SDLC.
- Database Testing: Write advanced SQL queries for data validation, backend testing, and state verification. Mandatory Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in C# and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, or Appium.
- API/Web Services: Tools such as RestSharp, Postman, or SoapUI.
- Version Control: Competency in Git/GitHub for code management and branching strategies. Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with deploying/running tests on platforms like AWS, Azure Cloud, or GCP. Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Typically ranges from 2 to 8+ years of dedicated software testing and test automation experience.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
