Junior Associate Financial Analyst (AI-Enabled) Boutique Investment Firm | Investment Research & Advisory Reports to: Vice President / Senior Associate, Investment Research Experience: 02 years | Qualification: CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA L1L2 / B. ComBBA with solid quant grounding Role Purpose Support deal teams and senior analysts across financial modelling, valuation, research and due diligence using AI tools to compress turnaround time on data gathering, document review and drafting, while owning the accuracy of every output. Core Responsibilities Financial analysis & modelling - Build and maintain three-statement models, DCF, comparable company and precedent transaction analyses - Spread financials from annual reports, filings and management accounts; normalize for one-offs - Track portfolio company KPIs and prepare monthly/quarterly performance packs Research & due diligence - Sector and company research, market sizing, competitive benchmarking - Support commercial and financial due diligence; maintain data room checklists and trackers - Prepare investment memos, teasers, IMs and pitch decks AI-enabled workflows - Use LLM tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) for filing summarisation, transcript analysis, first-draft memos and research synthesis with mandatory human verification of every figure and citation - Automate recurring tasks with Python (pandas, openpyxl) or Excel/VBA data pulls, model refreshes, report generation - Apply AI/NLP to unstructured data: earnings call sentiment, news flow, management commentary, contract review - Maintain prompt libraries and documented workflows for the team; flag hallucination and data-confidentiality risks Skills Required Category Skills Finance Accounting, valuation (DCF/comps/precedents), LBO basics, ratio and cash-flow analysis Technical Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Python (pandas, numpy), SQL AI Prompt engineering, LLM-based document analysis, familiarity with RAG concepts, Power BI/Tableau; basic ML understanding (regression, classification) is a plus Data Bloomberg / Capital IQ / Refinitiv / Tracxn / VCCEdge Soft Written communication, attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, ability to work in a lean team Compensation The compensation comprises a fixed salary.
