Python Backend Developer

JOB ID:QT-SUL-09-440About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with 6 years of experience in designing and developing scalable backend applications and REST APIs.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI/Flask/Django, REST APIs, databases, microservices, and cloud technologies. The candidate will be responsible for developing reliable backend services and integrating them with frontend applications, databases, and third-party systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.Develop high-performance REST APIs and backend services.Work with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.Design and implement microservices and service-oriented applications.Develop database schemas, queries, and data access layers.Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs.Implement authentication, authorization, logging, and error handling.Optimize backend application performance and scalability.Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code.Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.Develop unit and integration tests.Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders.Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.Required Skills6 years of backend/software development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Python.Strong experience with at least one Python framework: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.Strong experience developing REST APIs.Good understanding of microservices architecture.Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is preferred.Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.Experience with Git.Experience with unit testing and debugging.Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2/JWT.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.Good to HaveFastAPIDocker & KubernetesRedisCelery / asynchronous processingKafka / RabbitMQPostgreSQLMongoDBAWS / Azure / GCPCI/CD pipelinesMicroservicesEvent-driven architectureAPI GatewayObservability and monitoringEducationBachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
