The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable backend applications, REST APIs, database-driven applications, and enterprise-grade web solutions using Python and Django. The candidate will work closely with frontend developers, QA, DevOps, product teams, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Develop robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs and web services.
• Build and maintain applications using Django / Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Design and optimize database structures, queries, and transactions.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis where required.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, security, and API best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application and database performance.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Develop unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, Product, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes. Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Django.
• Good experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.x.
• Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, and programming fundamentals.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and web services.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Good understanding of API security and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, and code optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of SDLC and software engineering best practices. Preferred Skills
• Experience with Django REST Framework.
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask.
• Knowledge of Redis and caching mechanisms.
• Experience with Celery and asynchronous/background processing.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
